Do single weekenders every HANG out anywhere fun in the evenings? Going to try the Lily Pad. Anyone been there? Thanks.
I’m not single, but…..Never been to the Lily Pad, but have heard good things about it on posts on other parts of this blog (the resturant one, I think). I remember seeing too, on a post from the 4×4 guy on the forum, that there are informal get-togethers at his place about once a month…I think it was a pot-luck style of thing with all types of folks just hanging out. I would like to check that out one day as it sounds like fun (plus we have a Jeep), but right now we are just part-timers up there. Would love to get together with folks when we are up there full time and just hang out and chill. Good luck, and let us know if you find any places, not just for singles, but for us couples too!
We live in the area, and have been to the Lilly Pad several times on Fri or Sat nites. It’s very enjoyable.
Where in Blue Ridge is the Lily Pad. I’ve heard they have live music. Do they have drinks.
Its on Aska Road quite a way out… I think near the Toccoa River Restaurant if my memory serves me correct. I am not sure if they serve alcohol or not but I know they serve some coffee type drinks. The owners cook all their own food and I believe are from Hungary. It is a cute place.
Thanks Ann, I think I will try it tonight!!
Hi
I was wondering a few things….we are getting in married in Blue Ridge for a casual mountain wedding at a cabin. We are having Poole’s barbeque cater the meat portion and maybe a few sides. But I would like to show my northern in laws southern food and hospitality. Can anyone recommend a restaurant that caters good side items…mac and cheese, southern green beans, grits, etc.? Even shrimp and grits? How about pies and cakes? And most important….we are having a civil ceremony at the court house but need someone to marry us in front of our children and family.
Thanks for your input!
Melissa
