Bellied Up to the Blue Ridge Brewery

Consumed my first ’served’ beer in downtown Blue Ridge. Thought it appropriate to wait on the Blue Ridge Brewery and it was well worth the wait. When you go for beer and the food knocks your socks off you probably have a winner. I had the French onion soup, the shrimp app (served on a bed of saucy cheese grits), and a massive salad topped with service that had me feeling like a king.

I was a bit too busy with me hands & mouth to grab any photos of the cozy bar (perfect stools), but I managed to snap a few blurry shots from the iPhone as we closed the place down, without any staff attitude I might add. Can’t wait to go back.

City of Blue Ridge Passes Beer/Wine Pouring in Restaurants

Tonight the Blue Ridge City Council, with new council member Michael Eaton, followed Fannin County’s lead and passed a new city ordinance that allows beer and wine pouring in city restaurants . 2009 has been a bad year for the local prohibitionists. Hallelujah!!!
