November 6th vote - liquor by the drink in Fannin County restaurants

The final battle is drawing near. Everything we’ve discussed here and here is all hot air unless we get-out-the-vote on November 6th. Rest assured the temperance movement has been marshaling the forces; there is a “Vote NO, alcohol kills” sign campaign underway and there have been sightings on Hwy 5 and downtown, though the downtown signs have mysteriously disappeared.

For those of us that cannot vote due to not living in the area, I say yes. We own a 2nd home and love the area. Let’s attract the best resturants we can to to the area and support their growth. Liquor by the drinkis not needed but wine and beer would help attract and keep the better local resturants

I would say vote YES. This Fall we did not rent a cabin from this county because I had read about the no alcohol. If you had the Yes Vote we would consider renting a cabin from this area on our next vacation and spend our vacation money in your town.

We didn’t miss you. If you made your choice because of booze, go somewhere else.

Those of us who have business are very sorry we missed you. We love love our visitors and are dissapointed that the vote results had such an impact. Remember, brownbagging in the County is still OK and there are numerous establishments with great atmosphere and friendly folks!

This sounds like something I heard through my travels in the Middle East and in North Africa! Whatever happened to southern hospitality!?
